In 2003, Samsung Electronics European HQ wished to strengthen its on-line campaign with a more attractive and accountable marketing communications tool than before. Representing GateMAX International, ACTIcom offered a Pan-European DAPS portal campaign to Samsung in association with Cheil Communications Europe. The campaign targeted on-line users (ABC1, 2035) in 5 European markets (UK, France, Germany, Spain & Italy).
We placed introductory banners on MSN, Google & Yahoo in the above 5 countries to publicize the message, "Download Free Music!" The PC users were then invited to visit Samsung' web site and then download free music (sponsored by Samsung). They then enjoyed the music titles downloaded while they watched Samsung commercials on their PC screen.
